Bomb-Barders are on the rise with 3 in-a-row!

A massive improvement by the Clan as a whole, we have finally got rid of most of the inactive clan members and have brought in some really strong players.
Our last three wars have been a huge success winning with 74, 79 and 82 stars respectively. Although we are lacking on three star victories, the biggest improvement has come from the progression of one star victories to two star victories.

Bomers fall to GOS Empire - Losing Streak hits 3

While a Hurricane delayed most of the East Coast's 4th of July celebrations, the GOS Empire kept the Bombers from celebrating a victory with a 82-71 defeat of the Bombers.

This moves the losing streak to 3 wars and the Bombers are itching for another fight.

The Importance of the Clan Castle

Here are the basic stats on the Clan Castle.

"Big deal" yeah say. "Who Cares" you lament.  "I'd rather upgrade my defenses." you reason.

Well here are a three reasons you should care.

1. Loot - A Level 2 Clan Castle will simply not hold the loot you can gain from winning 2 attacks.  A single attack on a decent base can yield 150k of loot.  A last second loot raid like we sometimes get can yield 300k+.  With a Clan Castle that only holds 200k, or even 400k, you are possibly missing loot.  Possibly 2 or 3 times a week.
2. Defensive Troops - A level 2 Clan Castle won't hold the top end troops.  Need to be Level 3 for a dragon and Level 4 for a PEKKA.  As more and more guys are able to make these units for defense, you need a bigger Clan Castle to house them.  Even just basic troops, the more the merrier.  If you Clan Castle is lower level than the attacker, you put yourself at even more of a troop imbalance.
3. Offensive Troop - Well same thing as #2 except on the other end.  An extra dragon, or even a PEKKA (you know they stronger than a level 1 Barb Knight?) can make a big difference.

Overall, the Clan Castle should be one of the priorities to upgrade upon reaching new TH levels.

Bombers fall to "US vs World"

Finally a 50 v 50 match, all hands on deck.

The Bombers opponent this match looks to be a Clan War veteran with 27 wars won and they have a feeder clan.  Feeder Clan, seriously?  What would the Bombers feeder clan be?  Fuse-Lighters? Bomblets? Who knows, and who cares.

So time to prep.  Let's go Bombers.

Update: 5:12pm

The initial flourish of attacks have happened and this war is off to a very tight start.  On the strength of 6 early Three Star Attacks, the Bombers lead 33-30.  But the Bombers have used 25 attacks to 18 for US vs World.

Still a lot of targets in the 30's and 40's have not been attacked yet, so the potential for many more points is still available.

Wrap Up

The US v World put on a very strong middle part of the war and pulled away for a 107-87 victory over the Bombers

Bombers get rolled by FR CHASSEURS

So, time for a little vocabulary lesson.

What is a Chasseur?

Well glad you asked.  From Wiki - "chasseur [sha-sur; Fr. sha-sœr] (a French term for "hunter") is the designation given to certain regiments of French and Belgian light infantry (Chasseurs à pied) or light cavalry (Chasseurs à cheval) to denote troops trained for rapid action."


So its "The Bombers v The Hunters".

Let's go Bombers.

Update - 3:40pm Eastern US

The Hunters have come out firing on all cylinders and scored 13 Stars in their first 5 Attacks for an early 13-0 lead.  The Bombers are fighting back, but only managing a to score a lot of single star attacks.  At a little over an hour into the contest, on the strength of 9 Three Star Attacks by the Hunters,  the score is Hunters 36 - Bombers 13.

Update - 6:40pm

The Hunters continue their fevered assault and pushed their three star attack total to 15 for a commanding 66 - 22 lead.

Update - 8:30am

Well the good news is the Hunters have finally fallen below the 2 star average on their attacks.  The bad news is the Bombers are still under a 1 star average.  Score Hunters 103 - Bombers 38.

Post War Wrap Up

Well that was a good ole butt whooping.  Good thing they didn't send us into the backyard to choose our own switch.  If you don't get that joke, ask your parents, or maybe your grandparents for some of us.

So the final tally was 105 - 41.

On ward and upward to the next war.

The Bomb-Barders Roll to Victory over some symbols

Coming off a heartbreaking tie against Los Dotados.pe, the Bomb-Barders rebounded against an easy opponent.

Against another clan of symbols, the Bomb-Barders got off toa fast start and had the match well in hand before the opponent even decided to fight back.  With war bases that looked like farming bases, the pickings were fairly easy and the potential of epic lootz if the results stayed the course sent many of the US contingent to bed with an attack in reserve for a loot grab.

Dawn broke in the US with the Bombers still in command.  With a couple of hours left, the order was given to use second attacks for loot, and the 2nd rated base of the enemy was pummeled repeatedly.

In the end the 54-25 victory was not as close as the score, with many of us using our second attacks on the same easy target for 300k loot.
